RECENT PROJECTS

Falling Creek Environmental Group works on a broad spectrum of projects every year for clients located all over the Eastern United States. We have displayed a few of the most unique ones here to show you the diversity of our company.

Wetland Restoration Project

Here the Falling Creek Environmental Group team of scientists are pinning down biodegradable jute mesh netting over newly planted wetland plant seeds. The wetland restoration project was at a Virginia Minerals Mine site. The site is being monitored by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. The seeds were from plants only indigenous to the area.

Sub-surface sampling project

This project was for one of our national retail petroleum distributers that was removing product supply lines from service. We core-drilled through concrete and pavement to access the sub-surface soils to obtain samples for analysis and determined whether or not the lines had leaked. We have also done this inside buildings on concrete slabs for soil and vapor samples.

Hydraulic lift removal project

This project was at an International airport car rental terminal. The business had relocated and we were contracted to remove the abandoned hydraulic lifts and their supply lines in a service bay. The oil was vacuumed from each lift and the huge hydraulic pistons removed from inside the building. The skill of our equipment operators was put to the test, having to operate the heavy equipment inside the confines of the building.

Additional work included removal of a 12,000 gallon gasoline UST, underground oil water separator system, analysis with documentation and removal of all contaminated soil associated with this site.
